The instructions for submitting to a lender are different depending if the lender is a financial institution or a private lender, and if the deal is to be submitted electronically or manually.

Submitting Manually to Financial Institution
Submitting Electronically to Private Lender
Submitting Manually to Private Lender
Note: When an application is submitted to a lender, it cannot be submitted to another lender until the original lender responds, or until four hours transpires. This is known as the "lender lock" period. However, you can resubmit the application to the same Lender within the four-hour lock window.
